Traffic safety is a teamwork between road users. See and Be Seen is an easy-to-use activity that shows how to improve safety in the interaction between cyclists and truck drivers. It's a perfect group activity for schools and workplaces.
Knowledge saves lives
Safety has been Volvo Trucks' priority since the start. Through our research and analysis, it has become clear that most traffic accidents occur due to human factors. This is why we don't only develop innovative safety features for our products, but also want to spread our knowledge about traffic safety in society.
Visibility is key
Our goal with the See and Be Seen initiative is to raise people's awareness about their visibility in traffic. The initiative highlights situations where cyclists and other road users are involved, and how to improve safety in the interaction between cyclists and truck drivers.
The education kit
The See and Be Seen education kit is free and available for everyone to use. For example, teachers can implement exercises with their students and managers can use it as a business activity. The inspirational kit consists of an Instructor's Guide, PowerPoint presentation, and a guide on how to safely carry out an outdoor exercise involving a truck.
