Last Saturday, 31 st March 2018, Volvo Trucks Malaysia oganised its first Safety Seminar in 2018 for our Globe Trucker members as well as Facebook friends. Registration was open on Facebook and within 3 hours, all 45 slots were taken up with many drivers asking for more slots to be open up to accommodate them.
Drivers started arriving as early as 7.40am and by 9am, the drivers were here in full force. The atmosphere was lively and buzzing as Official Volvo Merchandise was also on sale at very special prices alongside the opportunity to test out the driving simulator which was recently installed in the HQ lobby.
The drivers came from all over Malaysia with many of them taking time off and driving down from Prai, Johor Bahru and Pahang just to attend the seminar. This warmed out hearts to see how dedicated they were and their passion for the Volvo Trucks brand. In these drivers, we see many loyal brand ambassadors amongst them.
The seminar kicked off at 9.15am with a classroom session which was followed by a tour of the workshop. Here, the drivers had the opportunity to get into the cab of the new FH and feel for themselves what makes it so special. The FH16 received the most attention and was the hero of many selfies!
The seminar ended an hour late due to the exuberance of the drivers and their excitement to see the trucks as well as interact with each other. Due to all the activities Volvo Trucks has organised for the drivers all these years, we are now known as the brand that cares about driver’s welfare and the drivers have praised us for always organising platforms where they can meet, exchange stories as well as upgrade their skills.
