The official handover of 8 units of FMX 440 i6x4 TRSS was held at Volvo Trucks’ HQ in Shah Alam, Selangor. The ceremony was attended by Mr Shiva, Head of Technical of FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd and Mr Mitch Peden, Managing Director of Volvo Malaysia. Both were also accompanied by their respective teams.
FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd is a total logistics service provider catering both to domestic international transportation and shipping requirements. The main application for these newly purchased Volvo trucks will be specialized for general cargo, palm fruit and CPO crude palm oil tanker. The purchase underscores FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd’s confidence and trust in Volvo Trucks Malaysia to meet their transportation requirements where uptime, fuel efficiency, safety and strong aftermarket support are especially important. On this note, these trucks required special approval as FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd will be running 52 tonnes permits.
Following this delivery of 8 units, Volvo Trucks Malaysia will be delivering another 10 units soon and will be expecting to deliver another 27 units of same model before end of the year. To date, FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd operates an active fleet of more than 400 Volvo Trucks.
